Changes to buses in Blackburn from Sunday 21 May24-04-2017
We're making a number of changes to our buses in Blackburn from Sunday 21 May.
Mostly, these changes are to improve our timekeeping and reliability for you, but there's a few changes we've had to make as a result of funding cuts from Blackburn with Darwen council.
4 Blackburn - Leyburn Road
Some of the early weekday morning trips will be retimed slightly to improve timekeeping and reliability.
Due to cuts in funding from Blackburn with Darwen Council, the last buses on the 4 each evening will leave Blackburn at 7pm. There will no longer be any buses on Sundays on the 4.
22 Blackburn - Clitheroe
There are exciting changes coming to the 22, which we're rebranding as Valleyline. There will be more and better buses, with free WiFi and USB power on board, and the 22 will be extended to run further south, all the way to the Royal Blackburn Hospital and Shadsworth.
24 Blackburn - Chorley
To reflect current travel patterns, the 24 will change to run every 30 minutes between Blackburn and Feniscowles, extending every hour to Chorley.

red express Blackburn - Accrington - Manchester
Following your feedback and to improve reliability, we're changing the route of red express in Manchester city centre. From 21 May, buses heading into the city will run along Princess Street and will drop off additionally at stops SC and SE.
Heading out of the city, buses will pick up at stop SG on Princess Street, and will also pick up on John Dalton Street, before turning right onto Deansgate. Download your new timetable here.
Shadsworth Shuttle Blackburn - Shadsworth
The Shadsworth Shuttle will become part of your upgraded Valleyline 22, featuring more and better buses with free WiFi & USB power. All buses on the 22 will run along the current daytime route of the Shadsworth Shuttle.
Due to funding cuts from Blackburn with Darwen Council, evening and Sunday trips on the 22 won't run along North Road or Audley Range, and buses will finish at around 8pm each evening.
