Royal Visit to Clitheroe on Tuesday 21 March

Excitement is building and plans are well underway for the royal visit by HRH The Prince of Wales to Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley, which takes place on Tuesday 21 March.

Whilst the visit takes place, some of the roads around town will be closed, so our buses on Mainline M2 and the 22 will need to use different routes to get in and out of town.

Unfortunately, buses won't be able to get through to Clitheroe Interchange, Lowergate and Sainsburys, so through the morning Mainline M2 and the 22 will be starting and finishing at Well Terrace.

Between Castle Gate, Station Road, Railway View Road and Waddington Road, buses in both directions will instead run along Queensway, Waterloo Road and Well Terrace.

The diversions are expected to be in place from 7am until around 11.30am. We're sorry for any inconvenience this might cause, and we'll keep you up to date on Twitter - find and follow us @blackburnbusco and @burnleybuses.
