Aged under 5

Children aged under 5 may travel free of charge with each fare-paying customer. (This includes anyone who has bought a ticket on the bus or who has a prepaid ticket.)

Travelling to and from Lancashire

Children aged between 5 and 10 may travel at the child fare, without proof of age. Under 19s get at least 1/3 off singles & returns and a discount off many day & period tickets too. Just ask the driver for a young person ticket, no ID required.

Travelling in West Yorkshire

Children aged 5-10 travel 1/2 fare with no ID.  

If you live in West Yorkshire, and are over 11 you can travel for 1/2 price in school uniform without ID. If you're not in school uniform you must have either a Metro Young Persons PhotoCard (for 11-16 year olds) or a Metro 16-18 Photocard to get a 1/2 price fares. These cards can also be used on all our services outside West Yorkshire. A 16-25 MCard is available to anyone and offers reduced price period tickets for journeys wholly within West Yorkshire.
