Job Opportunities in Lancashire

Details of vacancies at Transdev Blazefield and our Blackburn and Burnley depots

Have you got what it takes to ZAP?

We're almost ready to start ZAPPING with our second Cityzap route. But first, we're putting together a friendly, dedicated team to drive our state of the art buses on this exciting new route!

It follows on from the blistering success of our first Cityzap route between Leeds and York, which since starting just 18 months ago has carried well over a quarter of a million customers already.

If you're friendly and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, we want to hear from you! No PCV licence, no problem - we'll give you all the training you need to drive our buses, and all of our team members receive the same great customer service training.

You'll be based at our depot in Burnley, Lancashire, home of some of the most recognisable brands in the industry: Cityzap, the Witchway and Mainline to name a few!

And what can we offer you in return?

Well, for a start, you'll be joining our dedicated team of drivers at one of the most innovative bus companies in the UK. You could be earning up to £400 a week, plus company benefits, access to our pension scheme, free travel for you and your partner across the North of England, and much more.

shunter / supervisor

at our depot on Queensgate, Burnley

We're looking for a driven, self-motivated person to join our team as a Shunter / Supervisor at our bus depot in Burnley.

Our sparkling fleet of buses is the pride of Lancashire - you'll have seen Mainline and the Witchway out and about on the roads around town. Your main tasks will be the fuelling and oiling of our buses as they return to the depot - then taking them through the bus wash before parking them up ready for the next day's work.

You'll also be responsible for the day to day supervision of a team of 8 shunters and cleaners, including arranging cover when anyone is on holiday or sick.

There's a guaranteed 39 hour working week, spread over 5 evening shifts, with alternate weekends off.

If you have experience of driving and manoeuvring large vehicles, that would be an advantage, but don't worry, full training will be offered.

And what can we offer you in return?

Well, for a start, you'll be joining a friendly bunch of folks at one of the most forward-thinking and progressive bus companies in the UK. An attractive rate of pay, company benefits, access to our pension scheme and free travel for you and your partner all come as part of the package.

Applications should be submitted to Engineering Manager, Chris Brierley, to arrive by noon on Friday 1st September. Interviews will follow shortly afterwards.
