The Lancashire Way

The Lancashire Way is the name for the express services X40/X41 between Blackburn, Hyndburn and Manchester.

Running from Blackburn via Accrington, Baxenden, Haslingden, Helmshore and Prestwich the services take you right to the heart of Manchester.

The fleet shares the distinctive black, red and silver colours of their sister Witch Way service. Vehicles are easily accessible with low floor step-free entrances and space for wheelchairs and buggies.

The frequent service is great for commuting, students or leisure visitors. On Mondays to Fridays, and Saturdays, The Lancashire Way runs every 30 minutes for most of the day. On Mondays to Fridays a small number of journeys commence from/continue to Whalley or Great Harwood. On Sundays The Lancashire Way runs hourly during the day.
